Self-inflating, very light airbag that adds protection in a crash; high volume and strong construction absorb energy.
If the frame hits the ground while moving forward, it is pulled backwards and can collapse, so the pilot lands seat first. In these cases the airbag protects the pilot.
The airbag fits the APCO Split Leg harnesses. It is an optional accessory alongside the side pocket, reserve container and mirror.
