The Bunny Hop is the parakite to start on. With 19 to 21.5 m² projected area it carries more than the sharper wings in this class, and its Gear-Shift system lets you decide how directly it answers – from calm to lively, without tools.
What it is built for
Ground handling and the first hops on the slope, dune soaring, hike-and-fly and calm speedflying. It is the wing you learn the discipline on and keep flying once you can.
How it flies
Slowest flight is 25 km/h, trimmed it sits between 43 and 47 km/h, top speed is 69 km/h; minimum sink is 1.2 m/s at a suitable wing loading. That is a narrower, calmer window than a performance parakite – which is exactly the point while you are building the reflexes.
The Gear-Shift system
Three brake ratios, changed by hand and without tools. 1:4 gives you long travel and forgiving response for the early days. 1:3 sits in between. 1:2 makes the wing answer immediately – the setting you grow into. All three ratios are included; you do not buy the wing twice.

APCO publishes measured data for every size here – nothing is open. Within a range, more weight on the wing means more speed and more direct handling, less weight means calmer behaviour and better performance in light wind.

Warranty and advice
APCO grants 3 years or 250 flight hours. Before you buy we go through harness, reserve, take-off weight and planned use together – especially if this is your first parakite.
