Crawinkel Flying Camp 2027 - paramotor testival and winch towing

Seven days of flying, testing, camping and community: Crawinkel Flying Camp combines free flying, equipment tests, winch towing for paragliding pilots and camping directly at the airfield. Pilots from several countries meet at the well-known Crawinkel flying site.

At the flying camp you can compare equipment directly at the airfield and discuss setups with advisers. Brands include:

Requirements
- Valid pilot licence or equivalent qualification

Location
Crawinkel airfield in Thuringia, Germany. Launches in several wind directions are possible; fuel stations are reachable in Oberhof and Ohrdruf.

Crawinkel Flying Camp questions
When and where does Crawinkel Flying Camp 2027 take place?
The camp is listed for 24 to 30 May 2027 at Crawinkel airfield in Thuringia, Germany.
How much does participation cost?
Paramotor pilots pay EUR 25 per day with tiered prices from the third day. Camping costs EUR 15 per day and person, guests EUR 5 per day, paragliding pilots EUR 15 per day and winch towing EUR 6 per tow.
Do I need to register in advance?
Yes. Participation requires online registration. Places are limited to a maximum of 80 pilots, and registration closes on 20 May 2027.
What do I need to fly?
You need a suitable licence or qualification, aviation liability insurance, a reserve parachute and participation in the daily briefing.
Is the event suitable for newer pilots?
Yes. The event is designed around relaxed flying, briefings and advice. The final flight decision remains the pilot’s responsibility.
Is camping and food available?
Yes. Camping directly at the airfield and food at the hangar are planned.
