The APCO Trike Pilot Harness is the pilot harness for trikes. It has an integrated under-seat reserve container for the APCO Mayday 28 UL (up to 340 kg); the container is secured to the bottom of the trike and the deployment handle can be fitted on the left or right side.
A connected chest and leg buckle system prevents the pilot from taking off unsecured. Wide 40 mm polyester webbing connects pilot, harness and frame; seat height and geometry are adjustable, and the front flap and the one-piece seat and back cushion are removable.
The pilot and passenger harnesses are designed as a matching set but can also be used individually. According to APCO, multiple connection points to the frame make them compatible with almost any trike. Both are internally load tested for pilot and passenger up to 140 kg each at 5.25 G, according to APCO.
