APCO Ritma – lightweight harness between Chairbag and Spark

With the Ritma, APCO fills the gap between Chairbag and Spark: a lightweight, sophisticated harness, clean and simple in construction and at the same time modern in concept and design – with no compromise in comfort, safety or protection.

In the harness everything falls into place, so you can focus on flying only. The well-tuned ABS system makes weight shifting natural and easy, and the ergonomic, semi-rigid back support keeps you comfortable for hours. In rough air the Ritma stays calm and still gives you finely dosed feedback on where the lift is.

To keep drag low, its profile is slim, with clean lines and an aerodynamic teardrop shape. The Ritma is aimed at pilots who will not compromise on comfort, safety and performance but want a lightweight harness with well-thought-out details.

This offer is size S/M (APCO code 45050) for pilots up to 170 cm tall. APCO also makes the Ritma in L/XL (170 to 185 cm) and XXL (180 cm and up) – just ask us.

Protection and reserve system

Pilot protection was top priority in the Ritma. The integrated, aerodynamically shaped Cygnus airbag is inherited from the DHV-certified Chairbag and works with two air chambers for a controlled release of air on impact. In addition, an Airfoam protector with Lexan plate (47143) can be fitted; the Lexan plate spreads the load over the absorbing area of the Airfoam. According to APCO, DHV tests confirm that the 15 cm Airfoam protector meets the DHV requirements in combination with the harness.

Following the Chairbag Integral, the reserve compartment sits under the seat: it adds protection, and the deployment handle is intuitively within reach and highly visible. The compartment suits the APCO Mayday reserve parachutes.

Size S/M, weight, scope of delivery and colours

S/M: pilot height up to 170 cm, back length 680 mm, seat length 400 mm, seat width 390 mm, distance between carabiners 420–615 mm, supported back length 360 mm, hook-in height 420 mm. Weight: harness 2.6 kg, polycomb seat board 0.3 kg, Airfoam protector with Lexan plate (optional) 1.0 kg – 3.9 kg in total.

Scope of delivery according to APCO: harness with polycomb seat board and reserve deployment handle. APCO makes the Ritma in four standard colours: black/orange, black/blue, black/lime and black/red – ask us for your preferred colour.
