Bravo FL-105 with Atom 80

The FL-105 with the Vittorazi Atom 80 is the light version of the Bravo paramotor: 16 HP at 20.4 kg.

According to the manufacturer it takes off effortlessly with pilots up to about 80 kg, and with a large beginner or school wing also with heavier pilots.

Bravo describes the flying feel as very close to free-flight paragliding: light, quiet and low in vibration, powerful for its class and reliable.

The four-piece cage has no welds and a hand-braided net protects the propeller. According to Bravo, it packs down no bigger than an umbrella and is easy to transport.

The main frame is made of CNC-bent 6060 aluminium tubes.

Small offset spacers compensate the engine torque. They are simple, light and quick to adjust – and according to the manufacturer they keep the paramotor accurately in straight flight.

Swing arms look like a simple solution, but they make a big difference to handling and comfort.

According to Bravo, many lengths and shapes were tested until the arms suited almost every pilot. They are CNC machined from 7075 aluminium.

The attachment of the swing arms to the frame is a critical safety point and is therefore designed to be particularly strong.

The arms pivot around a CNC machined bush welded directly onto the frame, so they are attached to a structural part of the paramotor.

Simple, clean and easy to use: the cage connectors are made of stainless steel and fitted with anodised aluminium push pins.

This keeps the gap between the cage sections small and smooth, so the glider lines slide over it cleanly during launch.

According to Bravo, the main frame is the result of months of development and flight testing.

The goal: as few tubes as possible while keeping the frame strong and durable.

There are no side tubes next to the fuel tank, so the fuel cap is freely accessible and refuelling is quick.

Type approval and load tests

A Romanian type approval exists for the Bravo FL105: Certificat de omologare No. 042 dated 16 November 2023, issued by Aeroclubul României under the Romanian ultralight regulations (RACR-CCO ULM).

According to the manufacturer, the tests included a breaking test of the swing arm, strap and carabiner assembly at 7 G, as well as tests of the engine mount and the fuel tank mount – together with the certified Dudek Comfort Low harness.
