The APCO Hybrid combines a classic double-surface profile at the front with a single-surface profile at the rear. It is certified in the EN-B category; according to APCO, all but two manoeuvres were rated EN-A.
Take-off and landing speeds are lower than on comparable wings, according to APCO. The wing is very stable in roll and pitch, and the brakes work with low brake pressure. The missing bottom surface in the rear section saves weight; the canopy weighs from 3 kg.
For paramotoring APCO highlights especially easy forward launches and advantages on early-morning and nil-wind flights. The Hybrid is not intended to replace reflex paramotor wings, which excel at high speed and in rough air; it is meant for relaxed cruising. The paramotor version has trim risers (Hybrid PM Trim Riser); the EN-B certification applies with the trimmers closed.
