What defines the F3 MKII

• Mohawk technology (patent pending): an inflatable central stabilizer that works like the keel of a boat. It actively corrects roll movement and exits spirals without pilot input for higher passive safety.
• Light and durable: effortless nil-wind launches and higher passive safety from the ultralight internal structure and lower sail, combined with APCO's long-life cloth on the upper surface.
• Wide speed range: a completely redesigned riser and trim system. Launch slowly, accelerate up to 69 km/h, fly with closed trimmers for best glide, or open them for an instant +10 km/h without using the speed bar.
• Clean canopy profile: optimized sail tension and double functional 3D-shaping cuts create a clean leading edge and a calm, confidence-inspiring wing in varied conditions.
• Flow Aligned Ribs (FAR): ribs aligned with the airflow reduce drag significantly and improve lift for roll stability and precise handling.

Take-off, landing and handling

• Take-off: slower than expected for a wing in this class, with best results on fully closed trimmers thanks to the new efficient reflex profile.
• Landing: simple approach and flare; speed is converted efficiently into lift for slow, soft landings.
• Handling: long, forgiving brake travel while remaining precise and very agile; 2D steering and tip steering support high roll stability at speed.

Construction and materials

APCO is known for materials and construction methods designed to exceed the expected service life. The F3 MKII uses tear-resistant ripstop nylon, PU-coated for zero porosity and siliconized for high weather resistance. The upper sail uses proven double-siliconized cloth for maximum durability. The lower sail uses lightweight 27 gr/m2 material, while supported and unsupported ribs reduce additional weight. The FLEXON batten system on the leading edge improves launch behavior and service life.
